Sathyajith, is a truly gifted music composer, singer, pianist, guitarist, and a lyricist who has shown his talents in classical, hip hop, fusion and experimental genres, with a special interest to Rock music. A variety of artists all the way from baroque and classical eras, like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, down to pop artists like Mark Anthony, and rock, new metal, melodic death metal and majestic metal bands like shine down, system of a down, arch enemy, rhapsody had influenced his music over the years.
He was born in 1985 and started his music life in 1989, when he was just four n half years old. Under the guidance of his music teacher, Mrs. Shriyanthi Siriwardena, he had successfully completed all the grades of both theory and practical (piano forte) in the Western music exams conducted by IWMS, IMSS, and the Government, which included several all island achievements as well.
Throughout the years, he had gained a lot of experiences in music by participating in and winning many competitions. From 1998 to 2003, he had won many gold medals and all island prizes in piano solo, key board solo and percussion group, in the music competitions conducted by Institute of Music and Speaking Skills (IMSS), which is an institute affiliated to British Federation. In 2004, he won the best instrumentalist award in the Radiance Music competition, conducted by the Interact club by performing piano, key board and guitar solos.
He studied in Nalanda College, Colombo, which undoubtedly gave an immense contribution to his successful music carrier, as well as his academic performances.
Starting from the school times, until recently he had played in several bands. While he was still a student in Nalanda College, he played the key board in a hip hop band called Urbans, from 2001 to 2004. From 2005 to 2006, he played the bass guitar in the well known Metal band, Nemesis. Then he joined the psychedelic metal/ grunge band, Karmic Sulphur (TNL On stage finalists, 2006), where he played the bass guitar from 2007 to 2009.
While contributing to the accomplishments of these bands, he had also done his own creations, to come up as a solo artist. Up to now, he had done several tracks, and music videos, including Oba mage, an experimental tract which was a blend of Rock and funky free style music, released in 2007. The music and the lyrics were by Sathyajith, mixed by Lanthra Perera (Doctor Band) and the video was directed by Skit Digital Videos. It was played in many media stations and was appreciated by many artists and fans in Sri Lanka and around the world.
Currently, he is studying as a final year student in Faculty of Medical Sciences, Sri Jayawardenapura, with the hope of becoming a fully fledged doctor in a few months, who will be curing thousands of patients from their illnesses, while bringing happiness to everyone around the world with his musical talents.

At the same time, he is working on his next music video, the coffee song. The song is a blend of Baila, which is a quite popular music style in Sri Lanka, and classical rock which gives a modern taste. It is a special music tract with an original musical concept of Sathyajith, which was written by Sathyajith himself, and mixed by Lanthra Perera. It will be released in the beginning of 2011 and will be quite a new experience for all his fans.
